Surfing North Sumatra

Most islands are snuggled up against mountainous jungles and protected beachfront lands with world-class breaking swells. There is a little travel to get to your surf location then Surfing is just a few footsteps from stunning remote paradise islands, untouched beaches, uncrowded waves, and a great variety of surf spots, from easy beach breaks to 15-foot grinding barrels. 

Let’s look at the Old Man’s swell report for Lagundri Beach, Friday May 29th, 2020. As you can see, we have 4 to 5’ overhead waves with light offshore winds and a low tide in the early morning hours.
